Hey, Singapore! The Orchard Road diner OverEasy will be made over on Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 17, to resemble Litchfield Penitentiary’s prison cafeteria. Patrons will be able to visit for some complimentary cafeteria food, served up by Singaporean chef Bjorn Shen.
One of the featured dishes will be based on the very controversial Nutraloaf, which has been considered a form of torture. Although real prison food is nearly tasteless, Chef Shen guarantees that his food is no prison sentence.
All food will be served on plastic trays, and it is rumored that guests will have to eat it prison style–without utensils. Prison wardens will also be present to ensure that nobody steps out of line–or cuts in line.
Guests are encouraged to attend this event in costume.
Book your prison family online at Chope. Few walk-ins will be accepted. Below is the picture of the restaurant’s menu.
